Everest Base Camp Trek-Overview

The Everest Base Camp Trek with Trek Hire Nepal is a journey of a lifetime that follows in the footsteps of legendary climbers Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. Located in the stunning Solukhumbu region, this iconic trail takes you deep into the heart of the Himalayas, through traditional Sherpa villages, past ancient monasteries, and up to the base of the world’s highest mountain – Mount Everest (8,848.86m).

This 16-day adventure is designed for those with a good level of fitness and a spirit of adventure. While no technical climbing is required, the trek involves walking 5 to 8 hours daily across varied terrain, covering approximately 130 kilometers round-trip from Lukla. Along the route, the landscape changes dramatically—from lush green forests to alpine meadows, and eventually to the barren beauty of high-altitude glaciers.

You’ll start with an unforgettable flight into Lukla and begin your journey through charming villages like Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, and Lobuche. The final stretch takes you to Everest Base Camp (5,364m), followed by a sunrise hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m), offering the best panoramic views of Everest and neighboring peaks like Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam.

With two essential acclimatization days in Namche and Dingboche, our itinerary is carefully crafted for your safety and comfort in the high-altitude environment.
